To everyone, M.Ou.Co. promises beautiful days and good nights to discover that a hotel is much more than the sum of its different parts.

  • best hotel in Porto, hands down. a little pricey for the average backpacker but the staff are exceptional, the accommodations have the chillest vibes and the aesthetics are calming

Fantastic for any music lover. The breakfast is one of the best and opens the Portuguese food scene for first time tourists. Very accommodating front desk and bar staff.

Cool architecture, both on the inside and on the outside. It's all in the details! Great food in the bar and delicious breakfast. Staff was very friendly and eager to provide information. There's music all the time and you can take a record player and records to your room - how nice is that 🙂 The sound isolation in the rooms is good, so a good night's rest was no problem. The subway is very close, but you can also go to the city center by foot. I definitely recommend this hotel for a trip to Porto!

Loved the concept of the hotel, the rooms and the facilities. One of the best hotels I've been in.

  • Beautiful hotel with friendly, helpful staff. When checking in you'll receive a cellphone which serves as the room phone with lots of useful functions. The room has a sound system, and the interior of the hotel is modern, yet cozy and relaxing.

    Ike Hodge

Very good looking hotel, super friendly staff. Close to the metro. Would defintely recommend.

Excellent and atypical place to stay in Porto, the rooms, the food, the staff and especially the atmosphere makes it a perfect recipe for a great stay! With a special note for Michou who bend over backwards to make our visit the best of all

  • The best hotel we have ever been! Aesthetically pleasing, affordable and with really helpful staff. This hotel is on a totally different level. I really hope to see another Mouco in a different city.

Couldn’t have asked for a more romantic spot to spend the weekend in the beautiful city of Porto. If you’re a lover of music, architecture and good service I highly recommend this hotel. Great selection of vinyls to choose from and guitars. Even if you don’t play an instrument specifically, but just enjoy music check this spot out! It’s such a cool concept and makes for a great story. I stayed in one of the suites/apartments and the balcony was just lovely. A bit cold this time of year so couldn’t use pool but I imagine it would be a huge success in the summer. Thank you Hotel Mouco

    Kimberly Huete

one-of-a kind!! incredibly-designed facility, super friendly and professional staff and pretty central location

    Mostafa Gado

We really enjoyed the minimalist 70s style of the hotel and its atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and caring. We were very happy about the upgrade. Such a pity we could stay only one night. Hopefully we'll have the opportunity to come back and stay longer so can so we can take advantage of the pool and attend a concert.

  • The stay was absolutely amazing. The interior design was stunning, very rustic and authentic yet modern with a lime wash finish on the walls. It truly felt like there was great attention to detail and a lot of thought into the customer experience of the hotel. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to ensure the comfort of mine and my friend's stay, both during the day and the evening were super helpful. We paid for the breakfast separately and it had great options for vegetarians also (fresh pastries, fruit, cereal, cheeses, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and other meat options also). The hotel hosts music events over the weekend, unfortunately we were leaving during the day on Saturday but they had an intimate music concert that evening with Nadia Rose. The hotel also had vinyl records to select from which we were provided with a record player to use in our room and enjoyed great music over our stay. The hotel was located very closely to the centre where there were good restaurants and bars. I'll be going back to Mouco on my next visit and would highly recommend this hotel if you're in Porto!

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. The staff was always top notch and super friendly. By entering the hotel premises, it felt like entering a different “world”. The interior design is very stylish, clean, rustic and yet modern. We never experienced a hotel with a musical concept and found it super interesting. A lot of detail has been spent to acoustics in every single room. We once had dinner at the restaurant and loved the quality of food and service. The hotel was located very closely the metro and local train station, so it was easy to get to the city center. Would definitely come back and totally recommend to book a room at Mouco!

I can fully recommend the hotel: the beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms spacious, everything is new and the concept quite unique. Staff (reception and bar / restaurant) is really helpful and friendly and the room service excellent. There are some tiny and rather lovely hiccups (e.g. wrong wiring of the microwave) due to the recent opening, but those were immediately solved or a (temporary) work-around provided. You should do the two tours on the free to use smart phone.

    Matthias Parthey

I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you take train to Porto. Stylish interior, nice bar and restaurant, amazing breakfast! And it offers more! I didn’t borrow the record player this time but I will next time!

  • We loved it here. Guitars, records, great food and a great bar. The staff were brilliant and so was the room. We are looking forward to coming back!

    Simon Aldridge

Didn't stay there sleeping (I'm a local), just went for a concert, but regarding this part seemed quite well done. Porto needed such initiative - congratulations!

    Tiago Diniz-Porto

Fantastic hotel. Even though it is very much in the soft opening stage, i cant recommend enough. It is located between two main metro lines as well as on numberous bus routes. But the hotel is hidden off a side road so you wont be affected by traffic or street noise. Porto centre is also in walking distance where you can take in some urban sightseeing as you stroll through the city. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. If you want to add a little luxury to your Porto experience, stay here!!

    aaron donnelly

Fantastic stay in a modern and super clean hotel. Highly recommend!

  • I really enjoyed the musical concept. Rooms are really clean, well designed and comfy. Food is good and the best thing in life is to watch a show, take an elevator and go straight to bed. Hardly recomend it.

    Larissa Goretkin

The best hotel we stayed at in Europe. My kids are musicians and they just love it.

    Carlos Jaramillo

Lovely hotel with a extraordinary concept: minimalism and music. The staff was friendly, the rooms affordable and clean and the food (breakfast) was also yummy. We noticed a few (small) things that bothered us that explain the 4 stars rather than 5 stars: First, despite the rooms being really nice and tidy they weren‘t that practical. Hooks, some more light and shelves were missing. Also, they did not serve fresh coffee at breakfast (only Nescafe). Otherwise we are happy to come back again. Staff: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Facility: 5/5 Room: 4/5 Value for money: 5/5 Overall: 28/30

Beautiful hotel, incredibly well picked interior. Super nice atmosphere and service. The music library is highly recommended.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mouco - the staff was very nice and welcoming! Loved the design of the hotel and the option of lending a record player or guitar. The pool is a bit small, but still great for relaxing after walking the whole day through the streets of Porto.

    Madeleine B

Great atmosphere, beautiful architecture and wel equipped rooms.

    jens roels

Modern, well-located and charming place including a conceptual passion for music as well as a lovely and helpful staff.

    Matthias Gengenbach

Beautiful place, lovely staff and very reasonably priced.

    Xavier Holt
  • Everything was amazing - food, drinks, communication, breakfast, the hotel itself is beautiful and well-designed. Also they have a vinyls library so you can choose ones to listen in your room. Moreover, if you’re visiting for the concert - the sound is great, which happens rarely in a small places like this. 12 out of 10 ❤️

    Anna Hanna

Very nice hotel with a great vibe and architecture. The room was clean and well-designed. But the best thing was that you could pick up your own vinyl player and vinyls and play them in your room. It is also possible to use a guitar that way. The breakfast is very good, I would recommend that. The area is rather quiet, it is close to the metro station of Heroism.

    Peter M

Different vibe than everything I’ve ever had. The place is brand new and beautiful! The restaurant staff could be better, you could see in their faces that they didn’t want to be there serving us (except for the girl which I don’t remember the name but was super cool). The desert was AMAZING! One of the best I’ve ever had in my life!

    J.Antonio NS

We had a great stay in the Hotel. We were impressed by the young and comitted team. The Hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are wonderfully designed. A good place to stay in Porto! Delicous breakfast! .

  • Loved my few days here, we played a show in the music hall in the basement. Then we had a couple of days to chill. Rooms are great, really comfy beds and good powerful shower. All staff are lovely, the hotel has some really quirky features such as vinyl players. Nice little swimming pool I had some amazing physio with Flora who really helped my bad back and gave me superb advice on how to stretch etc before playing my drums I will definitely be back and book some more time with Flora.

    Christopher Hough

What can i say about this hotel other than its perfect !!! I would highly recommend this hotel, the building is a lovely modern design, rooms are lovely, staff are great. Breakfasts are superb. Would definitely recommend here.

    Scott Philbrook

We LOVED this hotel, such a cool little spot - the design of the place is amazing. We also like that you could take a vinyl player and select some vinyl from the music library to play in your room. The only downside for us was that the rooms were a bit small, but then we did go for the cheapest option! The breakfast was amazing, and they even provided us with a small breakfast box at checkout because our flight was very early in the morning. A very thoughtful little touch.

    Kirsty Bryant

Clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was gorgeous, dinner in the restaurant was lovely. The location is great with just a short metro trip into the centre. I can confidently recommend.

  • Very nice boutique hotel, excellent service.

    Erik Albert

A one-of-a-kind place! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a unique experience. Can't say enough about the staff, especially Tanya. Highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.

    Bernadette Donegan

This is a very cool hotel! We got a free upgrade on our room which made our stay even better. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and in a good state, the shower was heavenly. The breakfast was ok, I did find a bug in the orange juice which put me off a bit but other than that everything seemed very hygienic. There weren’t many savoury options for vegetarians and not at all for vegans. The food served at the hotel bar is ok but not great, the food at the restaurant (open on the weekend) was much nicer. The pool is very small and not very deep and there’s not many places to sit in the shade. The garden is super nice and has tons of fresh herbs! Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, maybe more so for a short stay than the 10-day stay we did. The neighbourhood is a bit rougher than the centre but still very safe, you can easily walk into the centre in 20 min or so. If they worked a bit on the food they would get 5 stars!

Gorgeous hotel! Very Hip! Fabulous design and everything was well considered. I highly recommend. For tourists: it is quite far from the city center in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is close to the metro and it was very easy to get Ubers.

Welcome to M.Ou.Co.

About M.Ou.Co.

Music feeds the soul and makes the body travel, even without moving. There are melodies, notes or simple sounds that, almost without our noticing, transport us in time and space. M.Ou.Co. offers no less and these acoustic journeys can be found in all its areas, from the moment you walk in until you open the door to a room, raise a glass at the bar or see one of the stage lights flash on.

To say that the walls breathe music is neither exaggeration nor grating lyricism. M.Ou.Co. departs from this musical epicentre and drifts off in different directions without ever losing sight of its core. It is as if those who visit the city, as well as those who build its culture and those who embrace it, were all singing the same chorus in unison.

Like the music itself, M.Ou.Co. is composed of different parts that make it special and unique. A cultural space that is a hotel, a refuge that is a performance venue, a bar that is a music library, or a restaurant that is a gallery. In the various different corners, there is harmony, melody and rhythm, all in the right doses. And there is plenty of life too. Here nothing is lost and all who pass through are transformed. This, at least, is the ambition of a multidisciplinary, multicultural team totally committed to transforming a single moment at M.Ou.Co. into something unforgettable.

CoLiving Spaces

M.Ou.Co. promotes the approximation of cultures, creativity, freedom and encourages multiculturalism.
